At Great Things in Store, we’re a little different—we’re a hybrid shop carrying both brand-new items and carefully curated consigned pieces. Our consigned clothing and footwear come from families in the community (just like yours!), helping other parents save money, keep great items in circulation, and reduce waste.

Ready to clean out your closets and pass along what you or your kids have outgrown? Here’s everything you need to know:

🌟 STEP ONE: Book Your Appointment

Don't worry, it's easy to cancel or reschedule!

🧺 STEP TWO: Get Your Items Ready

✅ We accept baby, kids, teens, and women’s clothing (our women’s section focuses on casual, young brands).

✅ Items must be:
Less than 4 years old
Better brand names
Season appropriate (bring what you or your kids would wear 2 months from now)
Freshly laundered and in excellent condition

📦 Bring up to 2 bins per appointment (1 appointment per consignor per week).
✔️ No loose items, bags, or cardboard boxes.
✔️ Bins should have matching lids and no side longer than 24 inches.

💰 You earn 40% in cash or store credit for anything that sells during the 60-day consignment period.

 

🚗 STEP THREE: Drop Off Your Bins

Bring your bins in anytime we’re open on your appointment date.
📱 We’ll text you when we’re done sorting (usually 1–4 days). Pop back in to collect your bins with any items we can’t accept.

Please ensure your bins are not too big (no side longer than 24 inches) as due to workplace safety considerations, we can't make exceptions.

Do I need an appointment to consign?
✅ Yes, appointments help us keep things running smoothly and focus on selling your items.
📅 Don’t see an opening? Check back Friday mornings when we release new spots.

What brands do you accept?
We’re looking for better brand names of kids’ and young adult clothing.
🚫 We don’t generally accept lower-end brands like George, Joe Fresh, Shein, or Athletic Works.
👗 In women’s clothing, we accept casual, everyday wear – no formal or business attire.

How do I check my account and collect my earnings?
Pop into the store, give us a call, or (our personal favourite): send us a message via Facebook or Instagram.

📄 For balances over $100, we’ll need 48 hours’ notice to prepare a cheque.
